Crown Point, IN, September 23 — Welcome to Crown Point Rotary Club's Annual Blues, Brews & BBQ!
The fest is family friendly and will host some of the Region's best eateries, breweries and blues bands. Doors open on 9/23 at 4:00PM and the event will run until 10:00PM. The event is hosted on the Lake County Fairgrounds in the Industrial Building.
We would be grateful for your help in creating even more impact at this year’s Blues, Brews & BBQ, which will allow us to continue funding several local community and international projects, such as:
** Shoes for Kids: 200 pairs of shoes were provided for vulnerable Crown Point children in 2022.
** Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Early Literacy Program: reading stimulates the brain and is crucial to development and critical thinking. 460 children received free books in 2022.
** Buddy Bags: assists Crown Point children on the free lunch program with weekend supplemental nutrition. Rotarians volunteer throughout the year at the local Buddy Bags warehouse.
** Franciscan Health Crown Point Mobile Food Markets: monthly food distribution for children and families suffering from food insecurity. 6,893 families have received assistance since the inception of this program in 2021. Rotarians are consistent donors and have been volunteers at the Mobile Markets.
** Youth Leadership Awards: admission to leadership training camp for Crown Point H.S students.
** Polio Plus: support Rotary’s global effort to eradicate polio. Over 2.5 billion children have received polio vaccines throughout the world.
** International Projects: recent projects include financial support to create a dialysis center in Balehonnur, India and financial support to Government General Hospital in Karkala, India to assist with the purchase of an ambulance and steam cleaning equipment.
